A solution to Manila traffic problems, Part 2

Image
It seems obvious that the solution to the traffic problem is to go up. High rise buildings exist because it is obvious that there is not enough space on the ground for everyone that needs to be in the city. The same principle applies to moving people in, out and around the city. Up is also almost certainly less expensive than down. Light is better than heavy. So we propose two major tramway systems:      1) The Metro Tramway System that runs above the existing MRT/LRT lines,      2) The Major Mall Tramway System that runs from large mall to large mall. Here is a map of major malls in Manila. Clearly a superb tramway system can be formed with the malls as hubs.

EDSA circumferential road in Manila, Philippines is often cited for the worst traffic in the world. See <quote> Traffic in Metro Manila , based on the 2015 Global Satisfaction conducted by Waze , Metro Manila has the "worst traffic on Earth". </quote>  Manila Traffic Real time EDSA traffic info But if you are on EDSA you can look up 50 feet above you there is NO TRAFFIC. So the direction to build is obvious. But, "What is to be built?" I am working on a design to move as many people as possible, tentatively called a FLATT (Fly Light Above The Traffic) model for moving   people on a very lightweight overhead system that could be built above a congested roadway. And so I am proposing flexible light weight electrically powered people transporters that can transport 3 motorcycles and say 9 people. No SUVs, jeepneys, trucks or buses allowed. Then the roadbed is very light but strongly built from some appropriate composite materials, e

Zero Motorcycles offers Smartphone app

Zero Motorcycles offers Smartphone app Many motorcycle manufacturers will choose this approach to connecting up with IOT services.
BMW is offering a number of products aimed at  Navigation and Communication No doubt as IOT and other applications become more widely available they will be integrated into these products. For instance Accident Detection and Messaging and Theft Protection will be integrated into them.
ArtCC / Moto-Crash-Project a Work in Progress by Arturo Carretero Calvo (ArtCC) with code on github.com.  is a Real time Detection of Accidents: Reporting and Messaging System Moto-Crash,when finished will be an application layer built upon a Real time Data Collection System. Moto-Crash uses a hardware platform based on the LinkIt ONE development board, which  is an open source, high-performance board for prototyping Wearables and IoT devices. It's based on the world's leading SoC for Wearables, MediaTek Aster (MT2502) combined with high-performance Wi-Fi (MT5931) and GPS (MT3332) chipsets to provide you with access to all the features of MediaTek LinkIt. It also provides similar pin-out features to Arduino boards, making it easy for you to connect to various sensors, peripherals, and Arduino shields. The full description of the hardware may be found here and on the subsequent links. https://github.com/ArtCC/Moto-Crash-Project ArtCC provides a good starting
Auto theft reduction The Internet of Things will offer devices that make tracking a cycle and the resulting theft prevention far easier at a low cost. They will come bundled with lower cost theft insurance. We must begin by  understanding the problem: 45,000 motorcycles stolen in  the USA last year. 5,000 in the Philippines.  This is a good introduction to the problem of motorcycle theft.  Motorcycle Theft
